Creative Hoop Project x Solid Coffee


The position.

Solid Coffee was looking to find people in their community and start sharing their stories. Who comes to Solid? What do they do here? Why do they stay? What are they working on? Cheston led this collaboration between regular coffee drinker, Kris, who is also the founder of Creative Hoop Project (CHP). Coffee. Hoops. Community.

The problems.

Solid hadn’t ever done any media campaigns that focused on story telling. This would be the first instance they introduced another brand into the mix as well. With Kris’ close roots to Solid’s Bellflower location, it was an easy decision to collaborate with his small business. Kris was in the Philippines though, on a basketball contract so that added a few barriers.

The collab.

Driven to make this happen, the two teams put their heads together to get this partnership on the road. We settled on doing a pop up shop at the Solid flagship location in Artesia where CHP would be able to host a launch, sell merch, and give his followers a discount on some coffee. The rest of the week would include a giveaway on Instagram, 3 Reels that shared an interview with CHP owner to discuss his love for basketball, coffee, and community, and a collab for the books. #caffeinecheck #brewsolid
