PACKAGING DESIGN. BRAND IDENTITY.

 

My role on this project…

My client needed help creating a brand new look for their niche product, a friendly mix of arabica coffee and hemp seeds. They needed an identity that would attract a wide variety of coffee drinkers, although specific enough to those who are looking for something a bit different. My job was to create the packaging design and set up the look and feel for the brand.

 
 
 
 

The Problems…

What did the consumer need to know right away? What makes this coffee special? Who is in the target audience (coffee snobs, health freaks, broad, etc.?) I didn’t have much information about the target audience, so I had to keep the look and feel as broad as possible. The only parameter: the client wanted a very clean design with a premium feeling.

The Research…

Coffee research. What are other brands in California doing? I found that there are not many brands using hemp in their coffee, therefore I had a pretty open slate to go off of.

 
 

The Design…

I made the packaging very minimalist with a typographic flow that is effortless to follow.
